Scope:

AYSO Section– open to AYSO teams from Section 7.

When:

Tournament dates are Sunday December 26, Monday, December 27, and Tuesday, December 28, 2010.

Where:

The tournament will be held at Maka`unulau Community Park ( U12 and U14) and Michael S. Nakamura Park (U10) in Mililani.

Who:

AYSO boys and girls teams in age divisions U-14 (11v11) 15 players max. U-12 (9v9) 12 players max. and U-10 (7v7) 10 players max. All players must have registered and played in ½ of the AYSO 2010 Fall Season. NO GUEST PLAYERS.

What:

Each team will be guaranteed 3 games (field and weather conditions permitting). Game duration will be as follows: (35 min. halves for U-14, 30 min. halves for U-12, and 25 min. halves for U-10).

Why:

The Mililani AYSO 2010 Makahiki Tournament is being conducted as a fundraiser by Region 119 to raise funds for Field Development, Equipment, and Maintenance, for youths in Region 119.

Awards:

Coaches and players will be awarded participation medals. In addition, the first place winners in the competitive divisions and the sportsmanship winner of the recreational divisions will be awarded coach’s gifts.

Entry Fee, Refunds:

Entry fee and referee deposit must accompany the tournament application and will be returned if the application is not accepted. Please send 2 Region checks (no personal checks), one each for team entry and referee deposit. TEAM FEES; ($200.00) for U-14, ($175.00) for U-12, and ($150.00) for U-10. REFEREE DEPOSIT, $175.00. Make region checks payable to AYSO Region 119.

If the tournament cannot be held due to weather or other conditions beyond the control of the tournament host, a refund, less $50.00 and the cost of any pre-ordered items, will be issued. Pre-ordered items will be sent to the team. If a team withdraws, no refund will be provided.

Referee Fee, Refunds:

$175.00, refundable within 14 days of the tournament, if referee assignments have been completed. Each team is asked to provide a qualified 3-person referee team to cover a minimum of 2 games during the tournament. Should a team’s referees fail to appear for any of their assignments, a portion of their referee deposit (roughly $50.00 per game) may be forfeited.

Acceptance:

The application deadline is November 30, 2010. All teams will be notified within 48 hrs. of the application deadline or receipt of application (whichever is latest) as to their status. Teams that are not accepted will be given the option to have their complete application returned or to be placed on the waiting list.

Coach’s Meeting

Sunday, December 19, 2010, time and place to be determined.  Pre-ordered tournament souvenirs should be ready for pick up at the meeting.
